Lionsmane Mushroom (Hericium erinacious) is one of our favorite mushrooms to grow and forage here in upstate New York. It’s uncommon within our normal foraging locations but it is native to the northeast and we are really psyched when we find it. Known to have beneficial nootropic properties and is also an excellent edible. Try them battered and fried like fish or oysters.
